A New Skirt!

IMGP4691 A few weeks ago, Mom purchased this lovely autumn fabric for me. I was so delighted to work with this fabric! Mom and I agreed it would make a beautiful six-panel skirt. I think it turned out beautiful –especially since this is my first paneled skirt!

What a beautiful skirt!
What pattern did you use?
Great job on it! It looks store bought!

Hmm... Well, I just finished a purse and am going to sew two more easier purses...

I am wanting to sew a dress. I have the pattern, I just need to buy some fabric and find the time to make it. :-)

Have a blessed weekend too!

It looks wonderful! I love the fabric choice! Ah, Autumn is my favorite season...I love all the autumn fabrics I've seen lately. ;)

I've been just sewing too. :) Skirts, and a few aprons and bags and things. :) Some as birthday gifts, and some for me and some for other things. :) Lol!

Have a blessed weekend Eden!

You look lovely and I adore the skirt! Very pretty!
I, unfortunately have not been doing anything except work and school. Well, I have been working on my afghan squares...so I guess I have been doing something! I hope to start on a dress or skirt sometime soon, though.

Eden, both you and your skirt look lovely. My current project is making some crazy quilt blocks for a charity quilt. Unfortunately, I've not done much with them this week, so I'll have to really get down to business this coming week. I need to have them done when my sewing guild meets mid-month September.

It looks great! I need some new skirts but I never like how they turn out when I sew them for some reason.

May I ask what the pattern number is?

I love the colors too!

Hmm...special projects....well, my brother Peter is turning eight this Saturday, so we're preparing for that :) Definitely special :)

Oh, BTW, I'm your newest follower :) I found your blog from Eldarwen's blog, but didn't follow right away. Then my sister Leia started following you and told me that I needed to come check it out, and I'm glad I did!

Blessings,

Hi Eden!
I hope you are having a wonderful and blessed day! I had a quick question for you... I was curious if you had a Skype account? It is a very neat way to contact others through the internet.
May the Lord bless you and your sweet family!

Jenna

Thank you all for your sweet comments and compliments. You are all so kind. :-) And I enjoyed reading about what each of you have been working on. It looks like everyone's been doing something productive. :-)

Leah ~ Actually, I didn't use a pattern. Instead, Mom cut out a panel from a store-bought skirt that was ruined by too much bleach in the wash. :( We used that panel as a guide for my skirt. I'm planning to make another paneled skirt at some point so I'll take pictures & measurements next time and share it with y'all here.

Shiloh ~ I didn't use a pattern. Please read my answer above; Leah asked the same question. :-)

Jo March ~ Welcome to my blog! I'm glad you love it. And thanks for becoming a follower too. :-) That means a lot to me.

Jenna ~ Yes, I have Skype. If you'd like to chat with me, please contact me using the contact page here on my blog and let me know your Skype name and I'll add you!

Blessings to all of you!

It is a lovely skirt, Eden, and lovely fabric too! I am trying to make a paneled skirt pattern from a skirt of mine which I really like the shape of. However, I can't cut it up, because I still want to be able to wear it!

I recently was able to buy some denim to make a skirt. I also have other fabrics in my 'stash' destined for skirts. They should keep me busy! Other projects include my music case, which is still awaiting completion!

Blessings,
Anna
